PlayTime Projects
PlayTime is a two-week developmental retreat designed to give playwrights the time and space to explore, rethink, and revise ambitious projects in the company of collaborators, other writers, and New Dramatists staff. Each writer establishes the terms for their artistic engagement, leads their development over the course of two weeks, and populates their work room with collaborators according to the needs of the project, including identifying a primary collaborator who helps facilitate the creative exploration of the project. In addition, New Dramatists resident writers participate as "resource playwrights" acting as witnesses and offering additional dramaturgical support to all projects. Midway through the studio, a writing workshop is offered to the full company of shared collaborators, taught by a New Dramatists writer. Below is a listing of playwrights and the projects supported to date.
