We ring in 2024 with old friends fulfilling new roles on staff at New Dramatists. Jenna Spiwack joins us as Business Manager and Emily Bubeck is our new Development Associate. Current staff continue in new positions: Sofie Wasserman-Smith as our Development Director and Connie Hall is our Literary Services Manager.
Jenna and Emily first joined New Dramatists as Bernard B. Jacobs interns, and have continued to work with us on a project basis. These two new staff positions were filled after a rigorous application and interview process, out of a pool of 140 applicants. Sofie Wasserman-Smith also first joined New Dramatists as an intern and has served on our development staff since 2018. She has led our individual giving and special events fundraising efforts since January, 2023. She was promoted to her current role as Development Director in July, 2023. Connie has served us in several capacities, most recently stepping in during calendar year 2023 as our interim Manager of Institutional Giving. She continues to administer our application and review processes in this new part-time Literary Services role that combines advocacy for resident writers through web-based communications.
