Resident Playwrights

Each resident playwright at New Dramatists has the creative freedom to program their own work, in their own time, on their own terms, with chosen professional collaborators, over a span of seven years, in the company of gifted peer playwrights.

Apply for Residency

Any U.S.- based playwright is eligible to apply for New Dramatists seven-year residency as long as they meet the submission requirements, which include 2 full-length original plays and a biography or resume.  Applications are accepted online during a submissions window each summer.
