Seayoung Yim

Seayoung Yim is a playwright and educator from Seattle, now based in NYC. She is the winner of the 2024 Dramatist Guild’s Lanford Wilson Award, the 2022 Yale Drama Series Prize, the Woolly Mammoth x Black List commission and the Powers Playwriting Fellowship at the Old Globe. Other honors include: Kilroys Web, Hedgebrook residency, Sewanee Writers’ Conference fellowship, Stephen Sondheim Graduate fellowship, finalist - 2024 L. Arnold Weissberger New Play Award. Her work has been supported by Ma-Yi Writer’s Lab, Clubbed Thumb, and others. She has taught playwriting at Brown University and RISD. MFA: Brown University.
