DJ Hills (they/them) is a cross-genre writer for the page, stage, and screen. Their plays include Horsegirl & Cowdaddy (the Wilma; Soho Rep), TRUNK BRIEF JOCK THONG (The Queer Ensemble; shortlist, Yale Drama Series), come straight home (Great Plains Theatre Commons), and The Caelumids. DJ’s plays have additionally been developed with The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Playwrights Conference, Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, The Workshop Theater, and Boston Court Pasadena. Their poetry chapbook, Leaving Earth, was published by Split Rock Press. Other writing appears most recently in Primer, The Worcester Review, and The Thalweg. DJ has been a Lambda Literary Fellow and a resident of Substratum and Tofte Lake Center. Proudly born and raised in in the shadow of the Appalachians, DJ currently lives in Philadelphia.
