A suburban American living room in the middle of nowhere that has been decorated to look like a romantic Irish country house.
Within it many transformations must occur: two chairs become a car, the table becomes the desk of the Detective's office, it ultimately becomes the deck of a ship.
Transformation is what everyone in the play is seeking.
