Don't Miss Barnard's From Page to Stage Discussion

This powerhouse panel kicks off New Plays at Barnard, a premiere initiative in which the Barnard department of theatre partners with a downtown theatre company to develop and produce a new play by an emerging female playwright. Panelists include Susan Bernfield, artistic director of New Georges, and playwright Lauren Feldman. Feldman’s play The Egg-Layers will be produced on the Barnard stage in March 2012. Alice Reagan, assistant professor of professional practice, directing, who will direct The Egg-Layers, moderates. Qui Nguyen World Premiere at The Flea Gets a Cast

Casting has been announced for The Flea Theater's world premiere production of Qui Nguyen's She Kills Monsters, written by Qui Nguyen. Robert Ross Parker will direct the production, which will run November 4-December 23, with an opening on November 17.  Read More

Signature's New Residency Five Program Includes Annie Baker

Signature Theatre Company has just announced the playwrights participating in the Theatre's new Residency Five initiative, part of the expanded programming that will be presented at Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street, near 10th Avenue), the Company's new Frank Gehry-designed home. Annie Baker, Will Eno, Katori Hall, Kenneth Lonergan and ReGina Taylor will be the program's inaugural playwrights.  Read More
