A Terrible Saint is based on events in the life of Tolstoy, during the years 1879-80, a time of culture clash that reflects our own. This high comedy focuses on the conversion of the great literary figure from an aristocrat & author to a would-be peasant & saint.

This event is open to the public.

New Dramatists writers continue to explore projects and expand notions of creative process through PlayTime, a two-week, in-house laboratory retreat for five New Dramatists resident playwrights undertaking ambitious new works with collaborators and in company of one another. This huge, interdependent project with an intricate schedule offers intensive and flexible time for rehearsal, rewrites, feedback, and company engagement.
