When Pony moves to a small rural town to start a new life as a man, he meets a woman named Marie who is obsessed with a local murder. On the other side of the forest from Woyzeck, Pony gets wrapped up in her violent fantasies and must figure out how to be himself and how to stay alive. Alternately disturbing and drily funny, Pony explores power and the fluidity and ambiguity of gender.
