Nocturnal Commissions an avant-garde auction of new plays!

Bid on and commission a play from one of America’s finest playwrights, written on the spot and then performed that very evening.

 

Participating writers include: David Adjmi, Glen Berger, Eugenie Chan, Michael John Garcés, Quiara Alegría Hudes, Jomama Jones and Mary Edwards, Julia Jordan and Adam Gwon, Carson Kreitzer, Tarell Alvin McCraney, Lucy Thurber, Anne Washburn and Doug Wright.  

 

Tony winners Jim Dale and Michele Pawk will be joined by a cast of Nocturnal Commissions All-Stars—Mia Barron, Lynn Cohen, Yvette Ganier, Sue Jean Kim, Alfredo Narciso, Andy Pang, Jeanine Serralles, Keith Randolph Smith, Gabrielle Stravelli, Robbie Sublett, Ed Vassallo, and Chris Wells—to perform the original works, which will be directed by Trip Cullman and Jose Zayas.

 

New Dramatists’ artistic director Todd London is the evening’s auctioneer, and actor/comedian/CBS Sunday Morning Contributor Nancy Giles serves as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.

 

All this talent with an avant-garde twist to the evening!

 

Doors open at 6pm—Auction begins at 6:30pm.  Admission to the evening is $125.  Space is extremely limited.  Evening also includes dinner, drinks, and performance.
