Soho Rep will debut a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, by Circle Mirror Transformation playwright Annie Baker, as part of its 2011-2012 season, which will also include works by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and David Adjmi.

Led by artistic director Sarah Benson, Soho Rep will open its season with Elective Affinities, the solo play by Stunning playwright Adjmi. The work was first presented by the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2005, and will begin performances Nov. 17. It's described as "a unique site-specific event inviting audiences into the apartment of a witty octogenarian offering a funny & savage portrait of cultured life."
