In November, the wonderful folks at the Weston Playhouse in Weston, VT hosted a writing retreat for six New Dramatists playwrights. New Dramatists supplied the transportation, food, of course the playwrights, and one staff member to coordinate it all for the week. Weston provided location location location; two beautiful old homes with multiple bedrooms, separate writing spaces, many bathrooms and working fire places right on Main Street in the quaint village of Weston, VT, that has not one, but TWO country stores!

We missed the fall foliage but the houses were cozy and warm, the area beautiful, and the hospitality of the staff at Weston Playhouse and the Weston residents and Playhouse supporters was abundant. A special thanks to our new friend, company manager extraordinaire, Bridget Sullivan who took care of absolutely everything with warmth and ease. It was a great writing getaway and all ‘round wonderful experience that we hope to continue. Thank you Steve Stettler and Weston Playhouse for partnering with us!

The retreat participants were Peter Nachtrieb, Qui Nguyen, Barbara Hammond, John Walch, Clarence Coo and Mia Chung.
