A Guyanese Immigrant farmer, Naraine Singh, lands in New York. After finding a job at the A & P, he buys an abandoned house at a city auction, in the Fort Apache neighborhood in The Bronx, in 1990. Like most poor immigrants, he rehabilitates the house, cleans the yard, and plants a beautiful garden, his Garden of Eden. Twenty years later, the neighborhood has improved dramatically because of his catalytic action...increased values all around. Now, a Developer and a local Senator want to buy his property to install a Walmart and a parking lot. When he turns them down, they threaten to seize his property using eminent domain. What will this do to this close knit family?
