Public Writing Workshop: Karinne Keithley Syers

424 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036
11:15am

This writing workshop will incorporate somatic work that comes out of Ideokinesis (in its normal application, an approach to neuromuscular and postural repatterning), which works with activating the mind's eye while in a position called "constructive rest." Partnered, non-intrusive hands-on work may also be included in the day. Instead of orienting toward anatomical questions, in this context we'll be diving after and collecting images that these deep rest states allow to emerge. Then we'll work with generative writing and construct formal structures from image constellations.

This event is open to the public.
