Writing Workshop - Dialogue: Form First w/ Jenny Schwartz

Oct 13 2012 - 1:00pm -- 4:00pm

New Dramatists is thrilled to announce our first, low-cost writing workshop of the 2012/2013 season with Jenny Schwartz's 'Dialogue Workshop: Form First'.

Jenny's workshop will take place this Saturday, OCTOBER 13TH from 1-4pm at New Dramatists (424 West 44th street) and costs just $40.

Jenny is the author of God's Ear and Somehwere Fun (which will premiere at the Vineyard Theatre in the Spring of 2013). During class, she will guide students through several writing exercises relating to structure and form. The goal of the workshop is to explore whether character and story can be discovered through structural and formal limitations.

This workshop is part of a dual-service program created by the members of New Dramatists. We offer the general public unique, 3-hour long writing classes led by our award-winning playwrights and master instructors - all for just $40. ALL of the proceeds go toward an emergency fund for in-need writers who apply...

Thus far, ALL of our monthly workshops have sold-out - for placement please write to us at ndworkshops@yahoo.com immediately.

Jenny Schwartz’s plays include God’s Ear, Somewhere Fun, and Cause For Alarm. Somewhere Fun will receive its world premiere at the Vineyard Theatre in the spring of 2013, directed by Anne Kauffman.
