Resurrection

Available in Library

Resurrection is the story of six interconnected black males ages 10 – 60 and the people who love them. The central characters are a child scientist, a young man from the projects on his way to college, an ex-convict, a corporate executive, a health food storeowner, and the Bishop of a megachurch. The men all experience an unexpected phenomenon on the same evening that changes their lives forever. As they tell their stories, they resurrect individually and collectively over issues of physical, spiritual, & mental health; poverty, absent fathers, incarceration, addiction, relationships, and education. Featuring Daniel Beaty’s unique blend of music, poetry, comedy, & drama, Resurrection is an urgent, timely story of possibility and hope.
