PETEY

He cracks open a Pepsi

LYNN
Gorgeous.
Glorious.
Sophisticated.
Elegant.
Huge.
Huge. I like that.

PETEY
The mister’s broken.

LYNN
Since when?

PETEY
Since I tried it last.

LYNN
DAN?
DAN?
The construction sounds stop.
Dan appears.

LYNN
Look at you all dusty.

DAN
Sanding.

LYNN
Didn’t even hear you this morning, reached over half-asleep and you were gone.

DAN
Master bathroom’s next. Gonna rehang those vanities.

LYNN
Do it careful this time, okay? Use that stick thingy, the one with the fluid.

DAN
You mean the level?

LYNN
Biscuit’s gone too, been looking everywhere... you haven’t seen her, have you?

DAN
No ma’am.

LYNN
I can’t understand it. She’s usually so dependable.

PETEY
The mister’s broken.

DAN
Since when?

PETEY
Since I tried it last.
